WHAT IS P35 STAGE 2 SOFTWARE ?
If the horsepower and torque figures of P35 Stage 1 or P35 Stage 1 Plus, which are generated by a standard (unmodified) engine are insufficient for you, more engine horsepower and torque can be achieved by increasing top limits with modifications in some hardware.
No matter how much the software parameters of the standard (unmodified) engine are increased after a certain point, the engine can't generate more engine horsepower or torque. This is mostly due to the insufficiency of the air intake system and high exhaust gas temperature. Limiters that work to protect engine healthy, keep engine power and torque in certain limits due to the incompatible signals in these values. Therefore, firstly both the air intake and the parts which cause the high temperature in the exhaust system should be upgraded.
The air filters which are manufactured from paper raw materials, can not show desired performance on Stage 1 Plus and uppers. Because air permeabilities of them are designed according to standard figures. Thus, the new air filter, which both is developed for performance use and can provide better airflow, must be used. This may be a performance type replacement panel air filter or a cold air intake kit according to targeted air mass and intake air temperature.
The main reason for high exhaust gas temperature is the backpressure of the catalytic converter or particulate filter to the engine. These types of equipment have got small chambers to filter toxic gases and pollutants. Discharged exhaust gas from the engine which efforts to show more performance can't pass readily from this section. Exhaust gas jam occurred causes high exhaust gas temperature. To increase engine top limits to a higher level, exhaust gas temperature must be reduced. Therefore, it's necessary to either use equipment with larger chambers like a sports cat or disabling completely the existing equipment by using de-cat pipe (downpipe)
In some turbo engines, modifying the air filter and exhaust system only may be insufficient to reach the targeted engine power and torque. Because for maximum performance, the turbo pressure must be stable at upper revs and air circulating in the pressure pipes must remain below a certain temperature. In this case, the dump valve and intercooler may be added to the required or recommended modifications list. You can find lots of information about these parts in the blog section of our website. NOTE: Stage 2 and upper software at Performance 35 are categorized according to the uprated parts used. Whether or not Stage 2 or upper software for your vehicle can be produced, depends on the availability of aftermarket products on the market manufactured for engine specific and the endurance of the engine infrastructure.
