WHAT IS ADBLUE SYSTEM ?
AdBlue is an exhaust fluid, not a fuel additive. It's stored in a seperate reservoir and is topped up via usually a blue filler cap located either next to your fuel filler, in the boot or under the bonnet. It's a trade name registered by the German car manufacturers association, bu is the most recognised form of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)
Tiny amounts of AdBlue are injected into the flow of exhaust gases. At high temperatures AdBlue turns to ammonia and carbon dioxide. Inside the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) catalyst, harmful nitrogen oxide in the exhaust reacts with the ammonia and is transformedt to harmless nitrogen and water.
WHY DO YOU NEED TO REMOVE IT ?
Some vehicle owners prefer to deactivate the system in case of sensor or unit malfunctions in the AdBlue system rather than having them repaired. This is possible although not legally correct. At the same time, deactivating the AdBlue system may cause the soot in the diesel particulate filter to accumulate more quickly.
HOW TO HAVE ADBLUE REMOVAL ?
Disabling AdBlue system is done via remapping process and does not require any mechanical action. However, in some engine control units, the plug of NOx sensor or AdBlue control unit must be disconnected.
Here, at Performance 35, we have all solutions for your AdBlue system failures and allow you to get rid of your problem permanently with minimum costs by re-optimizing all maps related to AdBlue system.
